These Live Edge Floating Shelves are made from Black Acacia, which is Koa wood’s closest relative. It has beautiful brown tones and hints of grey. We have several more pieces available including thick mantles that are drying currently.
This wood is from Trail Blvd in Naples, across from Pelican Bay on the east side of Tamiami Trail. They are invasive trees here in Southwest Florida & they are fast growers. This is wood post a tree removal due to its invasive status.
